Fordite Bead – Worn History, Layered Loud
This bead doesn’t just look cool, it is cool. It’s made from Fordite (aka Detroit Agate), a layered relic of American manufacturing history. Decades of built-up enamel paint overspray from auto factories, baked hard and cut into slabs. Every line is a ghost of a car that once rolled off the line. This one is specifically from a Jeep factory.
This one’s not flashy for the sake of it—but let’s be honest, it’s a little flashy.
Sized to sit tight on a lanyard. Bright without being loud. Weird in the best way.
Colors range from subdued to psychedelic, depending on how the layers fall—every one is a one-off. If you like clean symmetry and laser precision, this probably isn’t for you. If you like fingerprints, stories, and something that sparks conversation… welcome home.
Industrial art. Car paint bones. Nobody else at the campfire will have one.
Same deal: I make these for fun. I shoot pictures of them. Then they sit in a cup on my desk until I get around to listing them. They might have a scratch or two. That’s not a flaw—it’s seasoning. They're handmade, lived-in, and full of character. Like your favorite jacket… if your jacket was made of muscle cars.
